Although I agree with Marisa about posting images of the massacred bodies as disrespectful to the martyrs, I also believe it causes people to stop and think instead of just ignoring the situation. The international community is forced to recognize it, versus situations like Bosnia where 9000 men and boys were taken to a forest and shot under the nose of the United Nations peacekeeping forces where the world saw nothing at all and could go about blissfully ignoring the genocide. I believe awareness is important. :/

we learn about this in history. we learn about hospitals being full and overflowing in the civil wars and revolutions of our own countries. the only difference is a few different names and a modern shine, and people will bitterly defend the heroes of their national revolutions/civil wars, yet no one will bother to print articles or cover these revolutions of our own time!! IRISH PEOPLE, IF YOU WERE BROUGHT BACK TO 1916 OR 1921, WOULD YOU NOT BE BITTERLY ANGRY AT WHAT YOU WOULD SEE IN O’CONNELL STREET AND THE HOSPITALS OF THIS LAND? AMERICANS, WHAT IF SOMEONE BROUGHT YOU BACK TO 1776, AND YOU SAW THE WAR HOSPITALS, WOULD YOU NOT BE OUTRAGED?
